"Working for and with Karen for the past several years has been the best experience I could imagine to kick start my career in marketing. To say Karen has been an exemplary mentor is an understatement. Though [sic] many teaching moments I have experienced from Karen have been intentional and invaluable, in simply working alongside her daily and observing her methods, skills, etc., I have been instilled with more lasting lessons in marketing, communications, professionalism, and organizational practices than any class could offer. In addition to her rock star-like marketing talents, Karen has also acted in support of me in ways for which I could never thank her enough, from opening her home to me for two months, to advocating for me like a momma bear with her cub, to bringing laughter into my life in all the right times, and beyond. As Victor said in yesterday’s EXSS staff meeting, our loss is truly the Caring House’s immeasurable gain. Thank you, Karen, for giving of yourself, your time, your knowledge, your care to myself and this program so fully and so unequivocally. You will be missed, but you will also continue to excel and change lives.”

"I loved everything that you had to say and all of your ideas. It was truly incredible to see how successful your program has been and how much dedication and hard work all of you have put into it. After attending your session, I had so many ideas for implementing a program like yours at my school. As the Student Wellness Supervisor next semester, I have been given the opportunity to completely establish a similar program by my director. I told her all about your presentation and she was blown away by your ideas as well and is looking forward to working with me to make it a reality...thank you for taking the time to plan out a program like this that can truly make such a difference in an individual's life."
